Thank you for your interest in the BerlinerLuft. Technik GmbH website. Below we inform you about how we handle your personal data when you use our website. By “personal data”, we mean all data that can be related to you personally, e.g. name, address, e-mail address and user behaviour.

Collection and use of your data

Below, we explain to you what data we collect from you and for what purpose we do this.

1. When visiting our website

If you only use our website for information purposes, i.e. if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server (“access data”): If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data which is technically necessary for us to display our website to you and to guarantee stability and security (legal basis is Article 6(1), Sentence 1, Litera f GDPR):

  • date and time of your visit,
  • time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT),
  • visited webpage,
  • access status/HTTP status code,
  • amount of data transferred in each case,
  • website from which you came to us,

2. When contacting us by e-mail or via the contact form

If you contact us by e-mail or use the contact form, we will store the data you provide (your e-mail address, company name, name of the contact person, postal code/city and, if applicable, address). If the establishment of contact is necessary for the fulfilment of a contract with you or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures (e.g. request for informative material and price lists), which take place at your request, the legal basis is Article 6(1), Sentence 1, Litera b GDPR.

Otherwise, the legal basis for general queries is Article 6(1), Sentence 1, Litera f GDPR. The data will be deleted after a complete answer to your query.

Recorded data within the scope of processing the contract will be deleted or blocked from further use and deleted after the expiry of the tax and commercial law retention periods. The legal basis for storage based on the statutory retention duties is Article 6(1), Sentence 1, Litera c GDPR.

If you have consented to further use of your data to receive product catalogues, invitations to trade fairs or information on special offers, we will store your data until you withdraw your consent. The legal basis will then be § 6(1), Sentence 1, Litera a GDPR (Consent).

3. When downloading our free software C+DUCTWIN and AKUSWIN

We also collect personal data when you register to download our free software. We collect your first and last name, company name, address, telephone number, fax number and e-mail address. You voluntarily provide your name, street, telephone and fax number. We use the data you communicate to provide the software. The legal basis is Article 6(1), Sentence 1, Litera b GDPR.

We use your personal data, which is collected when you register to download the software, to check compliance with our license terms. These data are deleted after one year.

Data collected in the course of processing a contract in connection with our software will be blocked from further use after fulfilment of the contract and deleted after expiry of the storage periods under tax and commercial law. The legal basis for storage based on the statutory retention duties is Article 6(1), Sentence 1, Litera c GDPR.

4. When sending applications via our website

The personal data provided in connection with your online application will be collected, processed and used by our personnel department exclusively for this purpose. The data protection declaration concerning the application process can be found here:

Your personal data will be stored for 6 months after completion of the application procedure if you are not hired, unless you have given us your consent for longer storage. We do not pass the collected data on to third parties.
