In Germany, BerlinerLuft. Technik GmbH is active at a total of 7 locations with its regional and competence centres. The company currently employs around 900 people at 14 locations, 500 of whom work at the foreign locations in Austria, Poland, Croatia, Brazil and Mexico.

Over the years and across all borders, the open exchange of expertise, clear processes, flexibility and intensive cooperation have led to the development of very close, partnership-based relationships. Michael Nagl is the owner of BerlinerLuft. Technik GmbH and BerlinerLuft. Holding GmbH. Within BerlinerLuft.  he is responsible for the business area location/real estate as well as the foreign location BerlinerLuft. do Brasil Ltda.

As chairman of the advisory board, he continues to determine the strategic orientation and development of the group.

Jorge Guimet
Jorge Guimet

commercial director and deputy chairman

Jorge Guimet has served as commercial director and deputy chairman of BerlinerLuft. Technik GmbH since 2013. He is responsible for the departments finance/accounting, controlling, human resources, IT and purchasing/materials management.

Guimet was born in Lima, Peru in 1958, where he read law at university, subsequently obtaining entry into the law society of Lima, he later obtained an additional Master of Law degree from the University of Münster. Before joining BerlinerLuft., the he worked for 20 years at the Hettich Group in various management positions, both nationally and internationally.

Jan Pomplun
Jan Pomplun

Chairman of the management board of BerlinerLuft. Technik GmbH & chief digital officer

Dr Jan Pomplun has been with BerlinerLuft. since 2017.  In addition to his function as chairman of the executive board is he the Chief Digital Officer in charge of the IT machine technology / configurators department.

Born in Berlin in 1980, he took a degree in physics and physical engineering and received his doctorate in the field of scientific computing.

Andreas von Thun has been with Berliner Luft for more than 20 years. Technik GmbH. After many years as managing director of the Competence Center Klimatechnik GmbH in Bexbach, Mr. von Thun has been  together with Dr. Jan Pomplun and Jorge Guimet in the management of BerlinerLuft.

Born in 1961 in Bremerhaven, Germany, Andreas von Thun held various sales and management positions after completing his studies at HLK Gießen.

Franz Baumgartner has been working for BerlinerLuft. in Austria since 1999.  After 12 years as company and sales manager at BerlinerLuft. Technik GmbH, Austria, he was appointed managing director. Since 2015 he is also responsible for BerlinerLuft. Tehnika d.o.o. in Croatia as managing director. Born in Innsbruck in 1964, he held various management positions at home and abroad after completing his studies in mechanical engineering at the HTBLA (Federal Higher Technical Institute).

BerlinerLuft. is divided into a management holding company (BerlinerLuft. Holding GmbH) and BerlinerLuft. Technik GmbH. With its nationwide RegionalCenters and CompetenceCenters, it is spread over seven locations in Germany.

The Fans CompetenceCenter manufactures fans and components specifically for industrial use. These include, in particular, high performance and industrial fans. Depending on the specific needs of the industry, installation work and services may also be provided.

BerlinerLuft. Technik GmbH, RegionalCenters

With five RegionalCenters for ventilation components, BerlinerLuft. Technik GmbH, is the largest division in the group of companies. Its range of products not only includes folded and welded, round and rectangular ducting systems, ventilation components, silencers and special sound constructions but also ventilation towers and chimneys as well as smoke extraction and fire safety. Thanks to a fully automated and innovative manufacturing technology, the RegionalCenters produce around 1 million m² of ducting.

The CompetenceCenter Klimatechnik in Bexbach develops and manufactures ventilation and central air conditioning units for various applications in industry and trade. With its product portfolio of hygienic and compact air conditioning units, integrated refrigeration and instrumentation and control engineering (ICE), as well as highly efficient heat recovery systems, the CompetenceCenter satisfies all the very highest demands of BerlinerLuft. Technik GmbH in terms of modern air conditioning technology.

Merger of all operating companies in Germany into BerlinerLuft. Technik GmbH.
BerlinerLuft. do Brazil: Move to new production facilities in Alvorada/Porto Alegre with a total operating area of 16,000 m².

Foundation of BerlinerLuft. Spolka z o.o., Betriebsstätte Süd in Niemodlin, Poland

1997

Founding of the BerlinerLuft. RegionalCenter Nord we know today from the takeover of Blechwarenfabrik Uelzen. Rixner Klimageräte GmbH in Warngau (Bavaria) is added as a subsidiary and makes BerlinerLuft. into a system provider of ventilation and air conditioning technology.

1996

Foundation of BerlinerLuft. Technik GmbH, RegionalCenter Sud, formerly LGM Lufttechnische Geräte Mühldorf GmbH in Bavaria, near Munich

1995

BerlinerLuft. Technische Geräte GmbH is taken over completely by shareholder and managing director Michael Nagl. The Polish subsidiary, BerlinerLuft. Spolka z o.o., is founded in Koszalin.

1994

After the fall of the Berlin Wall, VEB Lufttechnische Anlagen Berlin is restructured into Berliner Lufttechnische Anlagen und Geräte GmbH.

1990

The former Büchner company becomes VEB Lufttechnische Anlagen Berlin. With 2,000 employees and a operating area of 80,000 m2, the company has the largest factory in the ventilation and air conditioning industry in the GDR. In addition to manufacturing ventilation components, industrial fans are also mass-produced there.

1949- 1984

Gottlieb Büchner establishes a company for ventilation systems in Berlin-Lichtenberg. As well as building fans and ventilation systems for foundries they also manufacture cooling systems for diesel multiple units. The company has 450 employees.
